Lecturer in Public Services, Pontypridd

Lecturer in Public Services, Pontypridd
Description
The success USW has built over nearly two decades of delivering high quality police education has recently accelerated into a wider portfolio, with growth in postgraduate provision and CPD in policing and international security. This expansion has created an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join us at a time when we are shaping the next phase of our offer.

We are looking for someone with current and credible knowledge of contemporary issues in public services, policing, crime, security and justice who can translate that knowledge into engaging, inspiring and applied teaching. The successful candidate will be comfortable teaching both on campus and online with the flexibility to work remotely when required and to travel for student events, field trips, outreach and promotional activities in schools and colleges. This post will focus primarily on the further development and delivery of on and off campus modules within our Public Services provision, but will also contribute to undergraduate courses in crime, security and justice.

The successful candidate will join an established team based at the Pontypridd Campus in Treforest that values innovation and thrives on creating challenge-based learning experiences for students. Just as importantly, the successful candidate will be committed to an excellent student experience including high quality pastoral support that helps students to stay well, stay engaged and succeed.

If you are the kind of educator who sets high standards while being genuinely approachable, supportive and student focused, we would love to hear from you.

This is a full time, permanent post.
