The RoleBand 2 roles are not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa routes. All other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.
As an Audio Typist within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, you will play a vital part in supporting safe, effective and patient-centred clinical care across Acute Services. You will provide a high-quality transcription service that directly supports clinicians and enhances the patient journey. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern- Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
- Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00
- Provide accurate and timely transcription of clinical dictation, including outpatient letters, discharge summaries and medical reports
- Maintain high standards of quality and turnaround times to support safe clinical decision making
- Enter and update patient information on clinical systems to support follow-up and continuity of care
- File and scan clinical documentation onto electronic patient record systems
- Provide professional telephone cover and administrative support within the department
- Process referrals and correspondence using relevant NHS systems
- Uphold confidentiality and information governance standards at all times
- Advanced keyboard and audio typing skills with a high level of speed and accuracy
- Proficiency in English with the ability to understand and apply medical terminology
- Experience of using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and clinical systems
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a professional approach to work
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to undertake statutory mandatory training and ongoing development
