Management Accountant, Portsmouth

Brayber Group are working exclusively with a well established organisation based in Portsmouth with an excellent reputation within the market. They are looking to grow over the coming years and this an exciting time to join them as a Management Accountant during this growth phase. As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for: * Managing and preparing the production of the monthly management accounts pack, including month end journals (accruals, deferred/accrued income), reconciliations, analysis and commentary on the financial performance of the business * Management of inter-company postings and balances * Support year-end audit process * Support the preparation of annual tax returns for all offices * Conduct cost centre P&L reviews with budget holders * Support the annual budgeting process * Maintain balance sheet reconciliations * Monitor the cash flow forecast model, ensuring its accuracy for senior management * Support the development of business intelligence tools to support management in responding to the business's changing needs * Review processes and recommend areas for improvement and greater efficiency * Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT return for all offices As the successful Management Accountant you are likely to have significant experience in: * ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified with good analytical experience * Excellent working knowledge of Excel being highly proficient in deciding what formulas should be used and their application i.e. VLookups, Data Sorting, Pivot Tables * Good working knowledge of other Microsoft Office packages i.e. Powerpoint / Word / Office * Conversant and comfortable with different computer systems
