Senior Planning Officer, Portsmouth

Senior Planning Officer required ASAP based in Portsmouth. The role will involve dealing with planning applications submitted under current planning legislation, negotiating with applicants, advising third parties about the proposal and providing advice to members and in many cases presenting the item to the Planning Committee. Giving advice and guidance on whether development would be supported or how proposals could be amended to gain support. Ideally you will be educated to degree level in Town and Country Planning or equivalent. Relevant Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
