Production Planner Client: BAE Systems Location: Portsmouth Duration– 10 months Working hours/pattern - FT onsite Hourly Rate: £31.53 PAYE or £42.41 Umbrella Inside IR35 We're looking for a Production Planner to join a busy manufacturing/operations environment, turning customer requirements into clear, deliverable production plans.This is a great opportunity to play a key role in ensuring work is properly scoped, scheduled, and ready for delivery. What you'll be doing: Translating customer requirements into production-ready plans Creating task breakdowns, identifying dependencies, and supporting scheduling Estimating labour, materials, and subcontract requirementsWorking closely with procurement, supply chain, and production teams Carrying out pre-production checks to ensure work is ready to go Resolving planning issues that could delay delivery Supporting continuous improvement of planning processes and data What we're looking for: Experience in production planning, manufacturing, or shipyard environmentsAbility to read technical drawings/specs and interpret requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Comfortable using ERP systems and Excel Able to manage workload and deliver to tight timescales A hands-on role where you'll have real impact on delivery performance and project success.Interested?
