The RoleThe INS Group is seeking a highly organised and customer‑focused Operations Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and operational delivery of telecoms and infrastructure projects.
This is a fast‑paced operational coordination role that requires excellent communication skills, strong administrative capability, and the ability to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, clients, suppliers, and internal operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and on schedule.
This role is similar to what many organisations would describe as an Operations Administrator or Operations Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily operational activities across multiple projects and workstreams.
- Manage scheduling, planning, and allocation of engineers and operational resources.
- Liaise with clients, site providers, contractors, and engineers regarding access arrangements, project updates, and operational requirements.
- Prepare and issue project documentation including RAMS, schedules, calendar invites, reports, and client communications.
- Update and maintain operational systems, trackers, and databases accurately.
- Monitor project progress and elevate issues where necessary.
- Ensure operational records, notes, and communications are maintained to a high standard.
- Support the management of shared inboxes and high email volumes.
- Assist with compliance‑related administration and document control.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Operations, Validation, Finance, and Delivery teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational process development.
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and customer relationship skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong administrative and coordination capability.
- Professional and confident telephone manner.
- Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Previous experience within telecoms, infrastructure, engineering, construction, utilities, or field operations.
- Experience coordinating engineers or field‑based teams.
- Experience using scheduling or CRM systems.
- Knowledge of RAMS, permits, access coordination, or compliance administration.
