Our client are one of the largest Utilities service providers in the UK offering National delivery to a range of Blue-Chip clients. In order to facilitate our continued growth, they require a driven, motivated Bid Writer to professionally manage the coordination, writing, and production of bids and proposals. You will have a proven track record of managing bids from identification stage through to winning business as a result of successful tender management Reporting to the Joint Managing Directors you will be able to confidently manage a busy workload on your own initiative and will adopt a flexible approach to your working day. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the preparation and completion of compelling narratives in response to key questions within tenders/PQQ/RFQ/ITT and proposals. Responsibility for management of national portal and E-tendering systems to identify and submit opportunities through Public Contracts Scotland and other online portals. Develop relationships with key stakeholders and influencers, to shape and influence our business model, positioning and propositions leading to future work. Responsible for preparing, collating and managing all information pertaining to bid/tender submissions ensuring internal stakeholders support the bid process. Record, manage and present bid status updates to senior management on a regular basis. Participation in face to face clarification, presentation and negotiation meeting with customer. Represent the business in a positive mannerKey attributes Degree level educated or qualified by experience. Demonstrative experience of completion of winning tender submissions. Portal management experience. Attention to detail and accuracy in work produced. Ability to prioritise workload and work to strict deadlines. Experience of working in a fast paced environment Experience of working in a team Exceptional written skills and ability to translate complex information into simple and straightforward language to present a logical response and a high scoring bid. High level of computer skills with competence with core Microsoft packages. Good knowledge of principles of tendering and how to support this. Excellent people skill s with the ability to build excellent engagement of both internal and external relationships. Excellent communication skills. Self-motivated and highly driven to succeed. Current valid UK driving licence Desirable criteria: Experience or understanding of construction/ facilities management/ drainage industry and associated risks. Personable and socially engaging with a confident attitude towards client inter-action.Performance Measures KPIs for this role will be focussed on and around achievement and indeed betterment of business plan targets
