Maintenance Engineer, Preston

My client, a manufacturer of specialist substances are looking to recruit a Maintenance Fitter on a temporary ongoing basis. Duties include: Follow planned preventative maintenance plan To ensure all plant and equipment are maintained as per the maintenance manual requirement To ensure maintenance of the site in general, both internal and external as required/instructed. To ensure all documents, file and manuals are kept up to date and in order. To ensure all computer records are maintained and up to date To carry out repairs on plant breakdowns and work to a priority list To ensure all work is carried out to HSE/Environmental requirements To maintain good housekeeping of Maintenance dept and plant areas. Place orders as required and to check engineering stock requirements To maintain Company confidentiality QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum Requirement) GCSE English and Maths, FLT, good communication skills, basic computer skills GENERAL To contribute to the Company objectives and mission To adhere to Company regulations To maintain Health and Safety procedures To ensure a high level of timekeeping is maintained To help with, or carry out other duties, tasks or activities as required QUALITY To maintain Quality System procedures This is a temporary ongoing position and could go permanent for the right candidate.
