Job Title: Contract Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Reading area, Berkshire Rate:£36–38 per hour, Limited Company outside IR35scope Job Type: Contract, 2 months ongoing initially, potential to extend Rotating Shifts: Primarily Monday to Friday – 9-hour shifts rotating Client: Manufacturing, Immediate hire for ongoing maintenance supportThe Opportunity: Contract Mechanical Maintenance Engineer We're recruiting for an experienced Contract Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer to provide hands-on mechanical maintenance support within a busy, automated production and packaging environment. Strong multi-skilled mechanical fault diagnosis ? Experience with conveyors, motors, pneumatics, drives, sensors, presses, hoppers, silos&basic Electrical PLCs ? Preventive maintenance ? Quick turnaround repairs during high-volume peaks You'll play a key role in maintenance and fitting tasks, supporting production line maintenance and improvement projects while ensuring equipment uptime and performance.
