Contracts Manager

Location: Reading(Hybrid Working)

Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 + Benefits

This role will suit someone with strong commercial and project oversight experience who enjoys working closely with design, engineering, and production teams to successfully deliver bespoke manufacturing solutions.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will take ownership and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. A key focus of the role is managing the design coordination element of projects, ensuring technical and commercial requirements are aligned throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing contracts from award through to completion
• Coordinating design, engineering, manufacturing, and supplier activities
• Overseeing project programmes, budgets, and commercial performance
• Working closely with internal design teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Managing client relationships and acting as the main point of contact
• Ensuring contractual obligations and project specifications are met
• Identifying and mitigating project and commercial risks
• Driving collaboration across design, production, and operational teams
• Providing regular progress and commercial reporting to senior management

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience in Contracts Management within a manufacturing, engineering, or construction-related environment
• Strong understanding of design and product development processes
• Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing complex, design-focused projects
• Strong organisational and communication abilities
• A proactive and solution-focused mindset
• Contractual knowledge and project management qualifications desirable
