The Opportunity

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Part Time Food and Beverage Assistant to join our front‑of‑house team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering excellent service, has a positive attitude, and can work flexible hours to support breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas and evening service as required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide welcoming, attentive and efficient service to guests in the restaurant, bar and for private events.
  • Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring presentation and portion standards are met.
  • Prepare service areas, set tables and maintain cleanliness in line with hotel standards.
  • Operate point‑of‑sale systems and handle payments with integrity and attention to detail.
  • Assist with buffet and beverage replenishment, tray service and clearing as required.
  • Support the team with stock rotation, basic stock counts and reporting low stock to management.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and resolve minor issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and housekeeping colleagues to ensure smooth guest experiences.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a customer‑facing hospitality role is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
  • Ability to work accurately in a busy environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Basic numeracy and confidence handling cash and card payments.
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota.

Additional Information
  • Job Type: Part-time, Permanent.
  • Expected hours: Variable; typically between 8–24 hours per week across a flexible rota including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
  • Additional pay: Monthly Tips/Gratuities.
