Management Accountant, Redcar

We are working with a well-established and growing organisation who are seeking an experienced and commercially aware Management Accountant to oversee the day-to-day finance function and support operational decision-making through accurate reporting and strong financial controls. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced SME environment and taking ownership of core accounting processes while supporting continuous improvement across the finance function. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting packsSupport budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis Maintain robust financial controls and oversee day-to-day ledger activities Review bank reconciliations, payment runs, VAT returns, and statutory submissions Monitor debtor balances and support effective credit control processesAssist with year-end audit preparation and compliance requirements Supervise and support an Administration Assistant within the finance function Partner with operational teams and senior management to provide financial insight and improve processes Skills&Experience Essential Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role Strong knowledge of management accounts, reconciliations, and financial reporting Good understanding of credit control and cash flow management Experience supporting or supervising junior team membersProficient in Excel and accounting software Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail Desirable ACCA/CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience Experience working within an SME or multi-entity environment Whats on Offer Opportunity to join a stable and growing businessBroad and varied finance role with operational involvement Supportive leadership and collaborative working environment Scope to contribute to process improvements and business efficiency initiatives TPBN1_UKTJ
