About the Role

We are recruiting a Financial Controller to play a pivotal role in our expanding organisation. This is a senior position, accountable to the Director of Finance and Resources, with responsibility for driving financial performance and ensuring compliance across all finance functions.

• Part of a collaborative finance team of 7.
• Direct line management of two Senior Accountants and oversight of the Finance Manager
• Organisation turnover of £20 million across multiple sites and departments
• Strategic ownership of financial planning, reporting, and risk management

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of income and expenditure reporting and ensure robust budget monitoring
• Lead financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis to inform decisionmaking
• Oversee statutory accounts, audits, and compliance with all relevant regulations
• Drive process and system improvements, including digital transformation initiatives
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencing financial understanding across the organisation
• Manage and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
• Support investment appraisals, treasury functions, and grant management
• Contribute to organisational development through leadership of strategic projects
