Job ID: JR1983 Job title: Automotive Mechanic / Vans Location: Redruth, Cornwall Job type: Full Time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm - no weekends Salary: up to£41,600 per annum depending on experience Job Purpose To carry out maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on company fleet of vans, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.Key Responsibilities Perform routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance on vans and light commercial vehicles Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment Carry out repairs including engines, brakes, transmissions, suspension, and exhaust systems Conduct MOT preparation and ensure vehicles meet road safety standards Complete job cards, service records, and documentation accurately Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment Follow health&safety procedures and company policies at all times Communicate effectively with workshop supervisors and parts departments Skills&Experience Required Proven experience as a vehicle or van mechanic (light commercial vehicles preferred) Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Experience using modern diagnostic tools and equipment Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Ability to work independently and as part of small a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Good time management and ability to meet deadlinesAll applications are dealt with in the strictest of confidence.
