Role Overview

We seek a UK-based volunteer with at least three years of professional Zoom experience preparing, administering and leading Zoom virtual meetings, using proven office and administrative skills alongside change management abilities.

Impact

As Volunteer Zoom Host, you will help ensure a smoother, more professional Monday Zoom meeting, improving the user experience and attracting more job seekers to our weekly virtual meetings.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and work independently with guidance from the Zoom Host team and 1‑2 trustees.
  • Prepare pre‑meeting Registration Report (4:00pm‑5:00pm), pre‑assign breakout room members (6:30pm), and manage the Zoom meeting from 6:45pm‑9:15pm.
  • Administer breakout rooms during meetings and circulate a post‑meeting Participants Report 30 minutes after the meeting concludes.
  • Monitor attendance (average 70 participants) and identify opportunities to improve and streamline Zoom operations.
  • Provide clear, imaginative thinking, a calm clear approach, reliability, receptiveness and consistent positivity.
Qualifications
  • Minimum three years of professional Zoom experience.
  • Proven success in managing smooth Zoom meetings.
  • Experience working in a voluntary capacity and voluntary environment (advantageous).
  • Experience or familiarity with the above operational elements of Zoom meeting host responsibilities.
  • At least three years of networking and system management in a professional capacity.
Availability & Commitment

Volunteer will be required to host approximately one Monday evening per month, approximately 4 hours on that evening. The role is remote; all contact will be by email and Zoom. Volunteers can live anywhere in the UK.

Team & Context

Current team has 4 Zoom Host volunteers; we aim to expand to 6‑7 hosts. Our charity hosts 40 Monday evening meetings over 12 months (13‑14 meetings per term). The Zoom operation is a key marketing tool we wish to develop and streamline.

Remote & History

Historically based in South Buckinghamshire, the charity has been operating for 35+ years. Since March 2020 all presentations, coaching and meetings have been virtual via Zoom.
