Overview

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join the hardworking and caring staff at Whittaker Moss Primary School.

Contract and Conditions

• Grade: Grade 5 (SCP 12-17)
• Contract Type: Permanent
• Hours: 34 Hours Per Week
• Working Pattern: Term Time Part Time
• Actual Salary: £22,503 - £24,410
• Interview Date: Tuesday 23 June 2026

Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Have recent experience of covering a class in the absence of teachers.
• Have extensive knowledge of EYFS and the curriculum.
• Extensive knowledge of Phonics.
• Have excellent Literacy and Numeracy skills.
• Be able to model standard English.
• Have high expectations of pupil’s achievement.
• Be a team player.
• Be driven by the needs of children.
• Have the ability to work in partnership with pupils, Governors and communicate effectively with staff.
• Be creative in devising activities for all abilities.
• Lead intervention groups and keep records of progress.

There may also be elements of personal care required.
