Automotive Parts Advisor — Stock & Admin Specialist, Rochester

We are looking for candidates for a Parts Advisor role for a busy vehicle remarketing company.

As a Parts Advisor, you will report directly to the Parts Manager and will be responsible for ordering parts and consumables as well as storing and issuing parts to the workshop. This is an ideal role for a candidate with previous experience of working as a stock controller or parts administrator. We would also consider applications from semi-skilled operatives or trainees.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Control Workshop Stock– booking goods into the system, cross-referring vehicle parts, liaise with the stock team to order required parts, completing stock checks both physical stock holding and system balances.
• Administrative support– answer all email and telephone queries, complete weekly reports and all relevant paperwork, assist in the provision of quality administrative support to the workshop
• Maintain all systems ensuring that adequate and appropriate records are created and maintained
• Ensuring that work is carried out efficiently to ensure deadlines are met
• Other ad-hoc duties

Skills and expertise

• Experience in a similar role
• Previous experience within the automotive sector (desirable)
• Computer literate with experience in using Excel
• Strong communicative skills – speaking, reading and writing (essential)
• Excellent numerical and literacy skills
• You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
• Excellent attention to detail
