Housekeeping Assistant, Crowborough

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you’ll play an essential part in ensuring our hospital environment is clean, comfortable and safe for patients, visitors and colleagues. Working closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor and wider clinical teams, you’ll help create a positive experience for everyone who comes through our doors.

• Cleaning patient bedrooms, en-suites, day service areas and communal spaces to a high standard.
• Making and changing patient beds.
• Cleaning bathrooms, offices, corridors and entrance areas.
• Collecting and safely disposing of clinical, household and recycling waste.
• Handling and delivering laundry appropriately.
• Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly.
• Completing daily cleaning schedules and checks.
• Following infection prevention, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Communicating effectively with wider departmental staff to support patient care.

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Reliable, hardworking and customer-focused.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow procedures.
• Flexible and able to work under pressure when required.

• Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment.
