HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER– RUGBY, WARWICKSHIRE People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Rugby, Warwickshire . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, weekly pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, C+E Driver, Tramper Driver or General Haulage Driver. Shifts• Four on, four off rota (rota provided) • Day shifts • Start times between 06:00 – 08:00 Rates of Pay • Monday to Friday – £17.00 per hour• Saturday – £20.00 per hour • Sunday – £22.00 per hour Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • Training provided • Immediate starts available • Employee wellbeing programme Day-to-DayDutiesAs an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:• Completing Class 1 trailer drop and swap work between depots • Working with curtain-side trailers, including removing and replacing safety bars • Operating and driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently• Carrying out pre-journey and post-journey vehicle inspections • Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and site teams • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptlyEssential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:• A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence • A minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category CE vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements • A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card• Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping • A good understanding of UK road traffic laws and driver regulations Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience • Previous trailer swap experience • Experience working with curtain-side trailersTraining Provided• Driving assessment required prior to starting • Training and ongoing support provided throughout the assignment Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team for more information.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.
