Fire Systems Engineer, Sheffield

We are now seeking an experienced Detection and Alarm Systems Service Engineer ? reporting into our Sheffield Branch, to cover a geographical territory across South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire,  Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and possibly Leicestershire. This position will entail carrying out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs and installations of Fire Detection, Fire Alarm and associated equipment and products, whilst continually promoting Chubb's products and services. To be successful in this role you will: You will have gained a recognized Electrical or Electronic qualification and have prior experience of the installation or service of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems / Emergency Lighting Systems. Whilst previous experience working within Fire Detection is desirable, we can consider candidates without- provide they have background in general electrical installations. As a flexible, team player, you will be able and willing to participate in out of hour's standby and call out rotas (additional payments) with a good level of physical fitness as manual handling and working at heights will be involved. You will also be able to demonstrate the following qualities:- commercial awareness, problem solving skills, excellent communication skills, good presentation (ensuring company vehicle and uniform are kept clean and smart in order to always promote a professional image), ability to work on own initiative and a reasonable level of written & numeric skills. This responsible role will entail planning and organising your own work programme, completing all appropriate documentation and complying to Health, Safety & Environment processes.
