South Yorkshire + Home Based - £55-70k + car allowance +++Headlines ? company has full order book, strong financial position, opportunity for a software specialist to lead and grow into a Senior Systems Manager+++ Samuel Frank Associates is now recruiting for a Principal Systems Engineer who has a demonstrable track record in PLC software, specifically the Siemens suite of products including the latest versions of TIA Portal. Principal Systems Engineers applying for this position will need to be Degree qualified, bright and sharp in their approach and have a professional, calm approach to their work. The role will involve leading a team of 10-15 Software and Hardware Engineers where you?ll be capable to parachute into complex technical problems and help drive through a solution. Key responsibilities of the Principal Systems Engineer position include ? * Conduct design reviews and outputs that the team are producing * Managing the day to day technical activities of the engineering team; ensuring training and development plans are in place * Liaison with Project Managers to ensure successful execution of projects * Project management support including client liaison, leading client progress meetings, planning and reporting * Helping to oversee the project budget and providing the information required for billing and management of work in progress * Writing and reviewing project documents such as quality plans, functional design specifications, test specifications, system architectures * Leading the commissioning and test of systems This opportunity could suit a Lead Engineer ready to take the step up into a more senior role ? if you have the background as a very strong Siemens Software Engineer and have the attributes to become a manager then this could also be a great position for you. The client expects that once you?re up and running this position is likely to require you being in the office in South Yorkshire a couple of days per week, at home a couple of days per week and the remaining day on customer sites ? this is a rough guide.
