Control Systems Design Engineer, Sheffield

Our client is a well-known manufacturing business who have recently undertaken some fascinating projects within their area of expertise. Due to growth they are on the lookout for a skilled Design Engineer to join their team. Main Duties and Responsibilities: * Produce electrical schematic drawings for the control system using AutoCAD drawing package. * Concentrate on producing control pane arrangement drawings using AutoCAD Electrical drawing packages. * Focus on the hardware design of control systems and associated field equipment which will include PLC?s, VSD?s, safety circuits and intelligent sensors. * Generate cable schedules and electrical cable block diagrams for the electrical equipment to be installed. * Create cable containment drawings for the electrical equipment to be installed. * Admin - Peer review and verify control system designs/documents generated by departmental colleagues. * Working with mechanical resource, ensure the electrical equipment is integrated into the product at source correctly * Raise purchase orders on approved suppliers considering quality and value. Essential qualifications and experience required * Experience in the hardware design of electrical control systems * Ability to generate electrical schematic and GA drawings using AutoCad Electrical package. * Knowledge of 17 Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
