A growing and forward-thinking accountancy practice is looking for a driven Semi Senior Accountant to join their expanding team. The Opportunity You'll work closely with senior team members and client managers, supporting a wide range of accounting and compliance activities while building your own technical exposure and client relationships.This is not a role where you'll be hidden behind spreadsheets all day. You'll be involved in the detail, exposed to different areas of the business, and given the opportunity to develop into managing your own portfolio over time. The team describes themselves as hardworking but personable, people genuinely enjoy working there.Responsibilities Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies VAT returns and compliance work Personal tax and year-end tax calculations Supporting with bookkeeping activities when required CIS returns and associated compliance Liaising directly with clients regarding financial information and queriesWorking across cloud-based accounting systems Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc accounting and finance tasks Assisting in maintaining accurate client records and compliance documentation Building strong working relationships internally and externally About You Experience working within an accountancy practice environmentGood understanding of accounts preparation, VAT, and bookkeeping Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Comfortable communicating with clients professionally A team player who enjoys being involved and supporting others Keen to progress long-term within a growing business Personality and attitude are hugely important for this team.
