Key Responsibilities- Provide strong leadership, coaching, and direction to a team of household claims handlers and senior claims handlers.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end household claims process, ensuring timely and fair resolution.
- Maintain high quality standards, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
- Track and analyse key performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Champion a customer‑first culture, ensuring a high level of service and positive customer outcomes.
- Produce and present regular reports on team performance, claims trends and operational KPIs.
- Support career development through mentoring, coaching and structured learning opportunities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in claims assessment and approvals.
- Strong technical claims knowledge, including high‑value and complex cases.

Regulatory ResponsibilitiesAs an FCA regulated insurer, doing the right thing isn’t a compliance requirement – it’s simply how we work. You’ll work within approved processes and authority limits, keep accurate and auditable records, protect data under UK GDPR and our information security policies, escape risks and exceptions promptly, report incidents, breaches and any financial crime or sanctions concerns (including via whistleblowing), support vulnerable customers with reasonable adjustments, and complete all mandatory training to maintain competence. If the role falls within SM&CR, a supplementary document outlining the key regulatory responsibilities will be provided.
