Teaching Assistant – Reception / Key Stage 1

Hours: Approx 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (some flexibility)

Schedule: Term time only plus one day (44.12 weeks per year)

Type: Permanent

Grade: 5‑6 (dependent on qualifications/experience)

Pay: £13.47‑£14.58 per hour (£17,830‑£19,300 per annum)

Start date: September 2026

• Give support to pupils in the classroom (individually or in small groups)
• Deliver interventions
• Support complex needs

The ideal candidate will have a secure understanding of child development and phonics, SEND skills, and be a natural communicator with young children.

Strong communication skills, confidence in supporting learning and behaviour, and the ability to build warm, nurturing relationships are key.
