Are you enthusiastic about food and looking to build your culinary career in a rewarding school environment? Sodexo is recruiting a Commis Chef to join our catering team at Shrewsbury School. In this role, you'll support the preparation and service of high quality, nutritious meals for students and staff, working closely with experienced chefs in a well organised kitchen. You'll be part of a friendly, supportive team that takes pride in delivering great food while upholding high standards of safety, hygiene, and care.

• Support the preparation, cooking and presentation of food to Sodexo standards
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, health & safety and legal requirements
• Deliver friendly, efficient customer service at all times
• Replenish food and equipment to maintain quality, freshness and presentation
• Work positively with colleagues as part of a supportive team
• Assist with service at functions and school events, as required
• Complete all mandatory training and follow Sodexo policies and procedures
• Raise and report any issues, incidents or concerns promptly
• Carry out reasonable management requests and support other local units when needed
