Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: West Lancashire

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £95 - £115 per day

We are seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and PDA. The successful candidate will work in a structured, nurturing and inclusive environment to help students build confidence, independence and emotional resilience.

Responsibilities

• Support students with ASC and PDA both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist in managing behaviour, reducing anxiety and promoting engagement with learning.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs and support behaviour management and de-escalation.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with ASC.
• Knowledge or experience supporting students with PDA.
• Previous experience in a SEND school or alternative provision.
• A calm, patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
