Assistant Management Accountant – Motor Trade

Salary: £32,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Since we are growing, we are now looking for a talented and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join our expanding finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone progressing in their accounting career who wants to gain strong month-end exposure within a fast-paced, supportive environment.

The Role

You will support the Management Accountant with the preparation of monthly accounts and daily financial operations. Duties include:

• Assisting with month-end management accounts for multiple dealership sites
• Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
• Daily bank and tills reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintaining fixed asset registers
• Sales ledger accounts reconciliations
• Processing supplier invoices and assisting with purchase ledger queries
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting
• Ensuring financial data accuracy within Keyloop/CDK (training provided)

About You

• AAT Level 3/4, studying towards ACCA/CIMA, or QBE with relevant experience
• Experience within the motor trade or a multi-site business is an advantage
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables required)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Willingness to learn and progress within the finance team
