Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experiencedSocial Workerto join theAssessment Team within Children's Services in Slough. This ongoing locum role offers flexible working arrangements with both full-time and part-time options available.

You will play a key role in safeguarding children and supporting families through high-quality assessments, ensuring children receive the appropriate care and protection required under statutory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities

• Undertakestatutory assessmentsin accordance with the Children Act 1989.
• Assessrisk and protective factorsimpacting children and families.
• Develop and implementchild-centred care and support plans.
• Work collaboratively withmulti-agency partnersincluding health services, education providers, and police.
• Participate instrategy meetings, child protection enquiries, and court proceedingswhere required.
• Maintainaccurate, timely, and high-quality case recordsin line with statutory requirements.
• Ensuresafeguarding standardsare upheld in accordance with local authority policies and national guidance.

Essential Requirements

• QualifiedSocial Workerwith a recognised Social Work qualification (Degree / DipSW / CQSW).
• Registration withSocial Work England.
• Experience working withinChildren's Services or Assessment Teams.
• Strong understanding ofchild safeguarding legislation and statutory frameworks.
• Excellentassessment, communication, and case management skills.
