Domiciliary Care Worker Part Time, Darlington

Support Worker / Carer * Darlington * £9.00 an hour (including sleepover rate) We are looking to recruit a female Support Worker/ Carer who have experience in supporting people with Muscular Dystrophy or other complex physical disabilities. This young lady is in her late 20?s and lives in Darlington. Pin Point Homecare is looking for passionate, committed, compassionate and caring individuals to care and support her. The key responsibilities of this role include: · Providing both personal and medical care · Using bespoke moving and positioning techniques · Administering PEG for nutrition, hydration and medications · Daily tasks such as dressing, showering and assistance to the toilet · Daily tasks also include maintaining the household, cleaning, laundry, housework and any normal day to day jobs. · Weekly physiotherapy where you can learn the ropes alongside a qualified therapist. · Accompanying to appointments and outings/activities Shift patterns for this role are 24 hours 11:00am - 11:00am including a sleepover. You?ll be paid £9.00 an hour for the day, and a lower hourly rate for the sleepover hours. Shifts will include weekends, bank holidays, public holidays, Christmas, New year and cover shifts often are available due to sickness or annual leave. You must have good communication skills and respect this young lady's wishes, dignity, confidentiality and personal choice. 21 hours of on the job training and shadowing will be provided. Whilst a high level of responsibility is needed within this role, it is also a very enjoyable and rewarding job. You will be working independently on a 1/1 basis but will also be part of an established team. Full training and support will be provided.
