Description
The Senior Service Designer is responsible for implementing and managing structured processes to deliver customer-led product and service definitions. This activity will cover both end-users of services and B2B customers using portal data services. The role involves working closely with sales post contract and R&D projects to design the end-to-end journey of a service. The impact of your work may involve the creation of, or change to, transactions, products and content across both digital and offline channels. The Senior Service Designer will lead these activities across all disciplines in the company. Key Responsibilities The individual in this role will be responsible for the following activities: * Support the development and implementation of service design within the company and ensure that design strategy is aligned to organisational aims and objectives; * Requirements gathering, both through research and direct interaction with customers, design, specification, implementation and continual improvement of the end to end customer journey for each service; * Design, specification and implementation of each consumer touchpoint including * Engagement with sales staff to assist with bid proposals and help turn service design requirements and improvements into client business growth; * Working with other leaders and stakeholders to continuously identify spaces where service design can add value to clients, and help scope related initiatives, projects, and deliverables; * Collaborating on project design, proposal development, R&D prototype and UI development, test scenarios and customer journeys. Essential Skills and Experience * A track record of service design with clear examples of success. * Strong knowledge of service-based business models, delivery of new services through a SaaS architecture and management of a multi-service provider deployments. * Evidence of incorporating innovative approaches to service design to deliver exceptional results. * Clear written, presentational and verbal communication of product and service concepts. * Strong listening skills with the ability to both manage and empathise with a range of stakeholders * The ability to clearly articulate existing and forthcoming products and services to customers, to empathise with their needs and to capture feedback to drive future development work. * Ability to broker consensus with multiple stakeholders. * A motivated self-starter with a ?start-up style? delivery ethos. Desirable Skills and Experience It would be beneficial for the candidate to have experience in the following: * Experience in the connected home market, especially in energy management, space heating, hot water and renewable technology. * Experience in a start-up environment. * Knowledge of forthcoming government energy / climate initiatives on an international basis
