Engineer/Shift Manager, Southampton

Our client is looking for an experienced Engineer / Shift Manager to work night shifts on a major heavy civils and clean water infrastructure project in Southampton.

The role will involve overseeing night works associated with cofferdam backfill, pipework installation, and heavy civils operations.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate night shift operations on site
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme
• Manage subcontractors and site teams during shift operations
• Maintain accurate records and handovers between shifts
• Ensure quality and HSEQ standards are maintained throughout works

Requirements:

• Previous experience within heavy civils or water infrastructure
• Engineering background preferred
• CSCS Card
• SSSTS/SMSTS advantageous
• Strong communication and shift management skills
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced site environment
