We are recruiting a Day Services Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Contract Type:Part Time, Permanent
Location:Ystrad Mynach Community Resource Base and Brondeg Community Resource Base
Team:Adult Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our team for a permanent, part time Day Services Assistant to work with individuals in Ystrad Mynach Resource Base (Monday, Tuesday&Thursday) and Brondeg Resource Base, Blackwood (Friday).
We are looking for people who can light up a room when they enter, wear their hearts on their sleeve, who have exceptional personable skills and have a motivated and positive attitude to all aspects of working with people.
We aim to provide a person-centred and tailored approach when providing social opportunities, the individuals we support are at the centre of all we do, we want staff who are motivated in empowering people to achieve their goals and outcomes, we want you to be the reason that individuals enjoy their sessions with us.
You will become part of a team, who strives to provide the best outcomes for individuals using a person-centred approach.
All day service assistants will need to work flexibly with us to ensure the level of support required is available. This will mean that the ability to work over a 7-day period is an essential requirement of the role. This could include weekend and evening working.

- A Level 2 qualification in Care on the Credit and Qualifications Framework or the commitment and ability to attain the qualification within 1 year of appointment.
- An understanding of disability issues such as empowerment, choice and advocacy.
- Experience of working in a care setting.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business/work to transport individuals throughout the county borough.
