Your Job as a Support Worker As a support worker you will encourage and support individuals with everyday living skills, such as social activities, physical activities or offering housing & financial advice. You will also help individuals learn life skills such as cooking and budgeting, whilst ensuring that they are safe within their own home and the wider community. Many of the adults you will support have lots of interests which could be anything from football, swimming, gaming, crafts or music ? to name just a few! If you have a hobby yourself, you could share this with someone you support! The best part of the job is seeing individuals you support achieve a goal that you have helped them to reach, this is so rewarding!
