Job Title: General Secondary Teacher

Location: Whitley Bay

Start Date: ASAP / September (flexible)

Contract: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm)

We are looking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Secondary Teacher to join a secondary school in Whitley Bay. This is a full‑time role, ideal for someone who is confident covering a range of subjects across year groups.

• Deliver engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a range of abilities
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a productive learning space
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
• Experience teaching within a secondary school setting
• Strong knowledge of your subject specialism
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

• Full‑time hours with a consistent schedule (8:30am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday)
