Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

Salary: £30,(Apply online only) – £45,(Apply online only) DOE

Lobster Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable automotive business based in Trentham Lakes for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their growing workshop team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled automotive professional looking to work in a modern and fast-paced service environment where quality workmanship and customer satisfaction are highly valued.

The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of mechanical, servicing, and diagnostic duties across passenger and light commercial vehicles.

Main Duties

• Carrying out routine servicing and mechanical repairs
• Diagnosing vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Completing maintenance work to a high standard
• Undertaking MOT testing where qualified
• Performing vehicle inspections and health checks
• Accurately completing workshop paperwork and service records
• Working closely with other technicians and workshop staff to ensure deadlines are met
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with manufacturer and safety standards

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday – 08:30am to 5:00pm
• Overtime available when required
• Saturday morning rota on occasion

About You

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

• At least 2 years’ experience within a similar Vehicle Technician or Mechanic position
• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification
• A full UK driving licence
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
• Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• A reliable and professional approach to work
