Salary: £31,022 – £33,699 FTE

Actual Salary: £11,952 – £12,983 (Pay award pending)

Scale: Grade 7

Hours: 16.5 hours (Ideally 5 afternoons but can be negotiated)

Contract Type: Fixed Term contract (Term time only) May become permanent

Start Date: 1st September 2026 – 31st August 2027

Set in the delightful village of Colwich, we are a small, Church of England primary school with a warm, friendly atmosphere where children are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking to appoint a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and dedicated team.

About The Role

Working under the direction of a qualified teacher, the successful candidate will:

• Support teaching and learning across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
• Deliver learning activities to small groups and whole classes
• Lead targeted interventions and contribute to planning and preparation of learning activities
• Monitor, assess and feedback on pupil progress, supporting positive outcomes
• Help maintain a calm, purposeful and inclusive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff as part of a supportive team.

The Successful Candidate Will

• Have experience working across the primary age range
• Be confident in leading small group work and whole‑class activities
• Demonstrate high expectations of pupil learning, behaviour and wellbeing
• Be able to evidence the impact of their support on pupils’ progress
• Show initiative, flexibility and a willingness to support colleagues when needed
• Be a reflective practitioner who values teamwork and open communication
• Actively contribute to and promote the Christian values and ethos of the school.
