QC Scientist, Hertfordshire

QC SCIENTIST - HERTFORDSHIRE - Competitive Salary + Shift Allowance An exciting clinical-stage bio-pharmaceutical company are currently recruiting for a QC Scientist to join their team based in the Hertfordshire area due to consistent growth. Reporting to the QC Team Leader, the core function of the role will be to support Clinical Trial manufacturing through performance of QC testing, assist with the qualification and validation of test methods and processes, assist with the selection and purchase of QC laboratory equipment and assist with the technology transfer of QC test methods from the Product Delivery group. You will participate in quality actions relating to QC activities, such as OOS / Deviations / Change Controls. You would be required to work across the following shift pattern (4 days on and 3 days off, 35 hours per week): Saturday - Wednesday / Wednesday - Sunday 6am - 3:45pm / 12:15pm - 10pm To be considered for the role candidates must have a degree of higher degree in Biology/ Biomedical Science / Immunology or related discipline. Relevant biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience within a GMP QC laboratory is highly desirable, however a good understanding of cell biology and immunology is essential. Experience with some or all of the following biopharmaceutical and cell-based techniques is a must: Aseptic technique, Sterility testing, Cell Counting, Flow Cytometry, PCR, Mammalian Cell Culture, Potency Testing.
