Pertemps Scotland Ltd are working with our client in Clackmannanshire to recruit for a Project Co-ordinator (Soft FM Services) on a 3 months basis. The role is full time and the rate of pay is £15.12ph. Start: ASAP Contract ends: 3 months PVG required Rate: £15.12ph Main duties and responsibilities: Delivering Results - Customer Service Excellence The Post Holder is responsible for delivering excellent results and will: Ensure that the needs of all stakeholders, including partners, are taken into account. Invest time in understanding customer / stakeholder perspective Monitor the quality of service and actively try to improve it Use customer feedback to review service provided Demonstrate a long term commitment to objectives seeing them through to delivery. Drive performance throughout the projects setting challenging and attainable targets; ensuring that all accountabilities are correctly in place; agreed with the people responsible; and that what is promised gets delivered within agreed resources and timescales. Use qualitative and quantitative performance information to measure and assess efficiency and to accurately determine the resources required to deliver agreed service standards. Ensure that good performance within the team is recognised and that poor performance is addressed and remedied. Work collaboratively both within and outwith own team. Be prepared to make difficult / unpopular decisions where necessary and in the service's interest. Ensure, that appropriate financial information is available to the Service Manager and that the team works within agreed resources. Demonstrate a bias for action, creating and seizing all opportunities to improve performance and encourage others to do likewise. Seek continual improvement, striving for excellence and focusing on maximising the effectiveness of people and other resources employed. Lead by example encouraging others to think outside the box and apply new ways of looking at challenges. Knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications: Appreciation of the purpose, direction and potential of the organisation in the context of overall public sector service delivery in Scotland is essential, especially in relation to Assets issues. Essential leadership and management skills and personal attributes include: An understanding of the strategic perspective: innovating & flexible thinking Influencing, negotiating, communication and presentation skills Achievement oriented; purposive and self disciplined Commitment to team development and cross boundary working Political sensitivity Ability to inspire trust and motivation Integrity, confidence and credibility Recent experience within the Private Sector would be advantageous Substantial experience of operating effectively and efficiently is an essential requirement. Core education to degree level or equivalent is essential. Structured higher level, professional study and / or qualification is desirable. Experience of project management and having previously worked within a Soft FM environment is essential. This should include, but not necessarily be limited to, local authority and / or related public sector experience within the broad area of Soft FM cleaning, catering and janitorial services. Accountability & Key Priorities: The Project Coordinator is accountable to the Team Leader. The council is embracing change in all of its activities. Change and modernising the Council, exploiting the potential of electronic technology for efficient and effective service development and delivery, and innovative and flexible working practices. Essential: Degree level or equivalent The Post holder will be able to demonstrate detailed practical knowledge of the delivery of Soft FM cleaning, catering and janitorial services within a property related discipline. Experience of Project Management and the use of Performance management Software packages in the delivery of soft FM contracts Working Knowledge of industry standards applicable to public sector facilities management The post holder must demonstrate an understanding of and contribute to the strategic perspective, be achievement orientated and have the ability to motivate and Lead Project Teams. Budget setting and monitoring skills with the ability to ensure value for money /effective utilisation of financial resources. Ability to lead in Planning, Managing and Monitoring the production of required deliverables in specified programmes. . Lead both Project and Maintenance Teams Desirable skills: Structured higher level, professional study and / or qualification in a Facilities Management, Soft FM or Catering related discipline Experience of being a team member in a local government or public sector environment. Project management Qualification An effective verbal and written communicator with the ability to operate across a range of levels including public/customer/regulator/workforce. Awareness of political sensitivity Knowledge of Health and Safety, Compliance and Environmental Health issues in relation to the delivery of Soft FM contracts of work.
