Appointed Person / Heavy Lift Engineer, Stirling

Job Overview
We are seeking an Appointed Person/Heavy Lift Engineer to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee all lifting operations in accordance with LOLER and BS 7121 standards
• Develop detailed lift plans using AutoCAD or similar
• Produce detailed method statements, and risk assessments
• Select appropriate lifting equipment (cranes, rigging, lifting accessories) based on load requirements
• Calculate load weights, centre of gravity, and crane configurations
• Coordinate with company managers/director, Project teams, crane operators, and lifting teams.
• Conduct site visits to assess ground conditions/access across UK / Ireland
• Conduct and join regular client meetings
• Supervise complex lifts, where necessary

Experience

• Must have a clean UK or Irish driving licence
• Proven Appointed Person qualification
• Proven experience with cranes over 500 tonnes
• Proven Wind-Farm experience
• Proven experience in heavy lifting operations (construction, offshore, infrastructure, or industrial sectors)
• Engineering background (mechanical, civil, or related discipline)
• Rural, agricultural background is also highly preferred
