Façade Designer, Stockton-on-Tees

We are looking to recruit on behalf of our client a Facade Designer to join their existing team on a permanent basis. Roles & Responsibilities * Assist in monitoring and checking work produced by sub-contractor designers. * Ensure design quality is maintained and the designs produces are both economical and functional for implementation on site. * Undertake numerous elements of projects at any one time, liaising with clients, sub-contractors & other design team members as required * Be the primary designer on smaller projects if required. * Capable of producing material schedules for procurement purposes. * Produce AutoCAD detail drawings for approval and working drawings for production purposes as part of the functioning design team. * Offer input, suggestions and guidance to the design / site team to solve problems both at design and installation stage. * Attend design meetings nationally when and where required. * Be pro-active and adhere to deadlines. Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience * Knowledgeable of at least one of the external design elements (Cladding, Roofing, Curtain Walling). 2 years+ minimum experience. * Computer literate ? must have a sound knowledge of AutoCad, Excel, Word, Outlook. * System software training / experience beneficial but not essential. * Minimum higher education ? HNC (industry experience will be considered) * Have good written & verbal communication skills. * 3D design experience advantageous but not essential * BIM experience advantageous but not essential. * Previous experience in general construction methods & techniques also an advantage but not essential. * System software training / experience beneficial but not essential
