Teaching Assistant (Behaviour Support), Stoke-on-trent

The role: This opportunity as a SEND Teaching Assistant involves working with Children with a variety of SEMH (Social, Emotional Mental health issues and EBD (Emotional Behavioural difficulties. This particular position requires someone who is committed, empathetic, enthusiastic and resilient and also who also has great communication skills. Experience working with Children with challenging behaviour will be a distinct advantage. The successful applicant will be able to engage children that have become disengaged from Education and encourage and offer them support and guidance alongside the classroom teacher. You will work as part of a dedicated and committed team that have a child-centred approach to learning in every aspect of life. To be a Teaching Assistant we look for experience of 20 days or more working with children and/or young people. Preferably you will have experience of working in a special needs setting previously. Pay and remuneration: A Teaching Assistant specialising in behaviour support an expect to be paid between £65 ? £80 per day. Usual working hours will be between 8:30am ? 3:30pm.
