OverviewWe’re looking for a part‑time Cleaner to join our friendly team at Seeleys House Short Breaks Centre, helping to ensure our spaces remain clean, comfortable and safe for everyone who uses them.
- Hours: 9.25 hours per week
- Working pattern to be discussed at interview
As a Cleaner, you’ll play an important part in maintaining a high‑quality environment that meets COSHH standards. Working largely independently, you will ensure cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly, safely and on time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing and emptying bins
- Cleaning all rooms including toilets, bathrooms, kitchens and frequently touched areas to infection control standards
- Using cleaning equipment and hazardous products safely and storing them correctly
- Following instructions, schedules and safety procedures accurately
- Interacting with clients, colleagues and visitors in a calm, helpful and professional manner
- Sharing ideas or concerns to help improve the service
Fixed
As a ‘fixed’ worker, you’ll spend most of your time in the same location, which will likely be a fixed office or location where your role is performed. Typically, you’ll be based in the same location as the rest of your team, because you provide a particular service from that fixed location or need access to information there.
You’ll be reliable, organised and take pride in your work. You’re happy working independently, manage your time well and always strive to maintain high standards.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a cleaning role
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations, cleaning standards and infection control
- Good attention to detail and a thorough approach to tasks
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly
- A flexible and proactive attitude
