Engineering Coordinator, Stowmarket IP14 5EE

ichiban UK is a privately owned sushi manufacturer producing own label and branded sushi for the UK market .

We are looking for an Engineering Coordinator to coordinate the day to day activities of the Engineering Department. Working Monday to Friday Days (to complete a 40 hour working week). With 25 days holiday per year plus 8 Bank Holidays.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit, dedicated engineering team. The successful applicant will carry out the following:

• Coordinate the Engineering Team to ensure maintenance is carried out to plant and machinery.
• Organise the engineering team to attend all machinery breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Distribute planned preventative maintenance tasks as appropriate. Ensure all planned preventative maintenance is carried out.
• Monitor the safe working practices of contractors.
• Carry out routine inspection and maintenance of water treatment plant, refrigeration plant and boilers.
• Maintain departmental key performance indicators.
• Champion safety in the workplace, carrying out risk assessments as necessary.
• Manage the engineering team’s attendance at work, including holiday and absence management.

Candidates will ideally be/hold the following:

• Qualification and experience within mechanical and electrical disciplines
• Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment
• Organisational and supervisory skills
• Excellent communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £55,000.00 per year
