Quality Inspector, Stonehouse

Position: Quality Inspector Type of role: permanent Location: Stonehouse working hours: Monday to Thursday 07.30 am to16.30 and 07.30 am to 12.30 on Fridays Salary:£30000 – £37000 DOE Contract: Permanent We are recruiting for a Quality Inspector to work for manufacturing company based in Stonehouse. The appropriate Quality Inspector will ensure that all manufactured components meet company, customer, and regulatory quality standards. This role involvesperforming first-off inspections, in-process checks, and final inspections using a variety of precision measuring equipment including CMM, profile measurement, Keyence, and shadow graph machines, as well has hand-held measurement equipment.Key Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector Perform first-off inspections and complete first article reports in accordance with customer and internal requirements Conduct in-process and final inspections of components to engineering drawings and specifications Incoming goods inspection Measure components using: CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), Contracer (surface roughness/profile measurement), Keyence measurement systems, Shadow graph (profile projector), Standard hand-held gauges (micrometres, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.)Interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications Record and maintain accurate inspection data and quality documentation Identify and report non-conforming products in line with company procedures Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities when required Ensure calibration status of equipment before useKey Skills of a Quality Inspector Proven experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T Experience operating CMM, Contracer, Keyence, and shadow graph equipment High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good written and verbal communication skills IT literate and comfortable completing electronic inspection reports If you think this role might be of an interest, please contact Marta Kosno 01453 852 542 and forward your CV toOmega is an employment agency specialising in opportunities at all levels within the Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Scientific, Energy&Renewables and Tech sectors.
