Senior Solicitor – Family Law (All-Rounder) – Cheltenham – 6–10 Years PQE

Location: Cheltenham (initially Regus-style office, moving to permanent offices as practice grows)

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 (depending on experience) plus Bonus

A dynamic and expanding law firm is opening new offices in Cheltenham in 2026 and is seeking a Senior Family Solicitor with 6–10 years’ post-qualification experience to lead and build the practice. This is a unique opportunity to make your mark, establish a new office, and grow a team from the ground up.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Handling a full range of family law matters (excluding legal aid).
• Leading the development of a new office and building a client base.
• Driving business development initiatives and shaping the practice.
• Managing and supervising junior colleagues.
• Delivering high-quality client service and maintaining professional standards.
• Contributing to the growth of the firm through leadership and innovation.
• Opportunity to bring your own paralegal to support you in building the practice.

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

• 6–10 years PQE in family law, with broad all-rounder experience.
• Strong technical and advocacy skills.
• Proven ability to manage matters independently and supervise others.
• Excellent business development skills and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Motivation, organisation, and a proactive approach to building a practice.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
