Fletchers Facilities is a well-established mechanical and electrical services company operating within the commercial sector. We are currently seeking a Commercial Gas Service Engineer, ideally based within the M25 north of the Thames

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Gas Service Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing commercial gas systems and associated building services to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8.00am-5.30pm – 45 Hr week (1/2 hr for lunch)

The role is primarily weekday-based, with occasional opportunities for overtime.

You will also be required to participate in our out-of-hours call-out rota, currently operating at approximately 1 week in 8.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of commercial gas appliances and associated systems in accordance with regulatory standards.

• Attend breakdowns, Diagnose faults, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.

• Install new gas equipment or associated services components, ensuring compliance with current regulations.

• Carry out tightness testing and system commissioning procedures.

• Complete engineers job reports, together with service reports and compliance documentation.

• Always adhere strictly to health and safety protocols during site visits and operations.

• Keep up to date with industry developments, regulations, and best practices related to gas engineering.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Service Engineer or similar role within the industry.

• Relevant qualifications such as ACS (Approved Certification Scheme) certifications in Gas Safety or equivalent.

• Strong understanding of gas and building services systems, appliances, and components.

• Diagnostic Skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.

• Enhanced CRB/DBS Check (or willingness to obtain)

• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple jobs effectively.

• Amiable and positive attitude.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various commercial environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
