Description
Are you passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and supporting a dedicated clinical team? We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Theatre Support Worker to join our theatre department at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
In this vital role, you will assist in delivering both direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses. You will play a key part in maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities will include preparing clinical areas, supporting infection control measures, and assisting colleagues in the scrub role.
You will be expected to demonstrate a courteous and professional approach at all times, helping to create a positive and respectful atmosphere within the department. This includes supporting patients and their families with empathy and dignity, and working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Full training and support will be provided.
To understand the role in more detail, please read the attached job description and person specification document
We are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.
We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as âoutstandingâ for care and our Kingâs Mill Hospital as the only âoutstandingâ NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.
