Are you a dedicated Year 2 Teacher ready to support pupils at a key stage in their learning journey?

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teachers to work in schools across Nottingham (NG1).

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing pupils’ confidence, independence, and core skills in literacy and numeracy, while preparing them for end‑of‑key‑stage expectations.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Prepare students for KS1 assessments and support academic progress
• Develop pupils’ literacy, numeracy, and problem‑solving skills
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Use a range of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and staff
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2, is desirable
• Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• A patient, engaging, and supportive teaching style
• A genuine passion for primary education
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
