Receptionist - Casual, East Midlands

Salary/Grade: Grade 4 / £13.05 to £13.47 per hour (pay award pending)

Location: Dronfield Active, Civic Centre, Dronfield, S18 1PD & Eckington Active, Gosber Street, Eckington, Derbyshire, S21 4DA (or any other Leisure establishment)

North East Derbyshire District Council is a dynamic organisation that delivers excellent services to our community. Applications are invited for the post of a casual Receptionist based at Dronfield Active and Eckington Active. Hours of work will include daytime, evening, and weekend shifts.

This is a key post that interacts with all our customers visiting the centre. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake front of house duties such as operating a booking system, dealing with admission tickets and enquiries together with processing payments.

• Operate booking system and manage front‑office duties.
• Deal with admission tickets, enquiries and process payments.
• Interact with members of the public and handle telephone calls.
• Routinely handle cash transactions.

• Experience dealing with members of the public, personally and over the telephone.
• Experience of routinely handling cash transactions.
• Ability to work as part of a team and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work at any of the council’s establishments if required.
• Disclosure carried out by the DBS at the Basic Level.
